It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Ritchie (Forked River, New Jersey), born in Collingdale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 21, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Richard M.; his parents, Lewis G. Ritchie and Genevieve Ritchie; and his siblings, Lewis, Donald and Maureen.
He is survived by: his wife Susan M. Ritchie (Del Vacchio); his daughters, Suzanne M. Ritchie of Papillion and Stephanie M. Ritchie of Forked River; his daughter-in-law Jacquelyn DeRose of Forked River; his sister Beverly Thurber of Secane, PA; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jon Hobbs, Kristen, T. Ryan Belford, Robert S. Kalinowski, Grace McMullin, Richard J. Kalinowski, Brittany of Nebraska, Evan M. Ritchie, Ashley and Chelsea DeRose of Forked River, NJ; his great grandchildren, Merrick, Brennan Hobbs, Max and Jack Belford; his grandson Andrew R. Ritchie; and his siblings, Exxon Dealers and Excellence.
Dick believed in supporting his community with many generous donations to the local police, fire departments, schools, and sports programs.
