Matthew M. Lucas Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Matthew M. Lucas of Forked River, New Jersey, who passed away on February 12, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Matthew farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Matthew is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Elias and Veronica Madeline; his wife Dalelorene Lucas; and his brother John Lucas. He is survived by: his children, Cecilia Steinmacher (Stephen), Denise Cabot, Deborah Sansone, Matthew Lucas and Kim Grasse (Mike); and his sister Verna Bingamin. He is also survived by his 22 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals (412 Main St, Toms River, NJ 08753). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (300 Lacey Rd, Forked River, NJ 08731).
