It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Catherine Jean Allen of Forked River, New Jersey, born in New York, New York, who passed away on October 28, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Welton and Catherine Welton; her husband James Donald Allen; and her close friend Kenneth P. Petersen. She is survived by: her siblings, Jean, Frederick, Joan, Maureen, Robert, Carol, John, Richard, Kevin, Deborah and Eileen; her daughters, Kim Marie (Charles Myers) and Denise Catherine (Vincent Lopez); her grandchildren, Andrew, Kristina, Clarissa, Jessica, Brian, Kristen and Dylan; and her great grandchildren, Nevanysh, Alexandra, Dylan, Mackenzie, Isabella, Sean, Emily, Julianna, Abigail, Aurelia, Phoenix and Ava.
Viewing was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM at the Layton's Home For Funerals (250 Lacey Rd, Forked River, NJ 08731). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Church of Saint Pius X (300 Lacey Rd, Forked River, NJ 08731). A burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery (350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08501).
