She was predeceased by: her husband Richard J. Gilligan; her brother Robert Miller; and her brother-in-law James Gilligan. She is survived by: her parents, Herbert Miller and Helen Miller; her children, Carl Incles (Dara), Kelly Kiernan (James) and Lisa Groiss (Gregory); her grandchildren, Justin, Amber, Evan and Eva; and her siblings, Madeline Stern and Bill Miller (Olga).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's memory may be made to the National.
