It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Bertekap of Fords, New Jersey, born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, who passed away on April 11, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Robert may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mitruska Funeral Home (23 Ford Ave, Fords, NJ 08863). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of Peace Church (620 Amboy Ave, Edison, NJ 08837).
