She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" Schmatz; her son John Schmatz; her parents, John Mazzarella and Millie Mazzarella; her siblings, Giosue "Joe" Mazzarella, Nicholas Mazzarella and Marie Kelly; and her aunt Theresa Calciano.
She is survived by: her children, William Schmatz (Laurie) of Newtown, PA, Joseph Schmatz (Donna) of Metuchen, George Schmatz (Donna) of Manalapan and Dianne Marczak (Andrew) of Manalapan; her grandchildren, Melissa, David, Rachael, Kelli, Lindsay and Christopher; her great grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Maddison, Mason and Nathaniel; and her brothers, John Mazzarella (Jane) and George Mazzarella (Ruth).
