The memory of James E. Harquail Sr. of Florham Park, New Jersey, born in Morristown, New Jersey, who passed away on January 12, 2025 at the age of 91, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As James departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his wife Gerda; and his son James, Jr.. He is survived by: his son Steven D. Harquail (Joyce); his grandchildren, Laura Harquail, Christopher Harquail, Derek Harquail and Austin Harquail; his great grandchild James; and his siblings, Gregory Harquail, David Harquail, Kathleen Ryan and Carol Rae Wanamaker.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Bradley, Brough & Dangler Funeral Home (299 Morris Ave, Summit, NJ 07901). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Teresa of Avila (306 Morris Ave, Summit, NJ 07901).
