He was predeceased by: his father Walter J. Marxer Sr.; and his brother Robert Marxer. He is survived by: his mother Rita Prisinger Marxer; his grandson Cooper; his wife Elaine Wagner Marxer; his children, Heath, Melissa Marxer, Dale and Amanda Marxer; his grandson Lucas; his siblings-in-law, Ronald and Paula Wagner; and his close friends, Fred and Cindy Toth. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
