He was predeceased by: his parents, Sebastian Gauss and Katherine Gauss (Leopold); his siblings, Adam Gauss, Reinhardt Gauss, Magdalena Sciandra and Rosa Sealy; and his nephew Edmund Gauss.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Gauss (Hernes); his son Nicholas Gauss; his sisters-in-law, Debra P. Hernes and Ann Mueller Gauss; his nieces, Linda Schmitt, Barbara Sealy and Sharon Sealy; his nephew Michael Sealy; and his great-niece Mikayla Schmitt.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Knott's Colonial Funeral Home (2946 S Broad St, Hamilton Township, NJ 08610). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery.
