He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Melovitz and Philip Melovitz, Sr.; his wife Dorothy (Austin); his sisters, Rita Sarf (Melovitz) and Bernadine Mazur (Melovitz); his brother-in-law Richard Austin; and his son-in-law Joseph F. Egan.
He is survived by: his grandson Sean Egan; his daughters, Susan Egan (Melovitz) of Annandale, NJ and Annette Melovitz of Dallas, PA; his sister Joanne Minichowski (Melovitz) of Hanover Township, PA; his grandson Alexander Egan (Maureen); and his great grandchildren, Caroline of Wilton, CT, Patrick Egan of Wilton, CT and Sean Egan (Emily). He is also survived by many extended family members and lifelong friends.
