He was predeceased by: his parents, Gert Ahlff and Kate Krohn Ahlff. He is survived by: his wife Silke Kuhl Ahlff; his children, Joseph Ahlff of Phillipsburg, NJ and Katherine Ahlff of Ringoes, NJ; and his stepchildren, Heidi Jensen of Ringoes, NJ and Christopher Melrose of Lebanon, NJ. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
