He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Faethe and Eva Godown Faethe; and his siblings, William Faethe, Hans Faethe, Ernest Faethe, Albert Faethe and Laura Faethe.

He is survived by: his wife MaryAnn Binkley Faethe of Kingwood Township, NJ; his children, Lynn Shelton (James) of Vineland, NJ and Frank J. Faethe, Jr. (Kelly) of Milford, NJ; his grandchildren, Ava Grey Faethe and Lucas James Shelton; and his siblings, Charles Faethe (Carryl) of Lititz, PA, Martha Nocera (Joseph) of Wappingers Falls, NY, Susan Eng (Tony) of Clarksburg, NJ, Nancy Jack (Greg) of Flemington, NJ and Tim Faethe (Laura) of Orangeburg, SC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
