She was predeceased by: her brother Wun-Bong Kang. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Wan Shin; her sons, Myung and Dr. Chung Shin; her children-in-law, Dr. Pheo Shin and Abby Wadler-Shin; her grandchildren, Carly, Lucy, Grace, Ryan and Matthew; and her sister Ok-Sil Kang.
