He is survived by: his wife Shelagh; his sons, Richard III and John "Jack"; his parents, Barbra McClatchy Clay and Richard M Monihan Sr. (Mary Lou Monihan); his siblings, Brian Monihan (Maureen), Sylvia Clay, Keri Monihan, Mary Clay, Hilary Monihan (John Nighswander) and MegAnn Monihan; his in-laws, Maryann, John Canavan and Kyle Canavan; and his pet Fiona. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home (155 South Ave, Fanwood, NJ 07023). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church (315 1st St, Westfield, NJ 07090).
