Majella Ryan wrote a sympathy message

“So sorry to hear of Paul’s tragic passing, RIP. I am one of Paul’s DCU classmates and will always remember his rumbling laugh. He (asked to) gategrash my 40th some years ago as he was “in the country”. It was so great to see him & all the gang there & exchange our college stories. So very, very intelligent & inquisitive & interested in all things science. He will always be remembered fondly by us.”
