Brian Egan wrote a sympathy message

“I had the pleasure and honor of knowing this wonderful man 34 yrs at Ashbrook Golf Course and the ABMGA. Whether you were playing with him as your partner, or playing against him in matches he was a wonderful and fun person to be with. I can still remember some of his aviation stories from both the military and commercial days. Mike could handle any challenge, and we all thank you for your service to our great country. Most of all, thanks for being part of our lives at ABMGA . Brian Egan”

Evan Wasserman wrote a sympathy message

“I am heartbroken. I always looked forward to seeing Mike at the course and speaking with him not only about golf --but Rutgers Sports, our careers, and our families. When he was back at the course during his periods of wellness, my eyes would tear up since I has so happy he was back. I would always give him a big hug. I will remember the shag balls he would take out of his bag and hit toward the 18th tee before he teed it up. I will miss him. My sincere condolences --- Evan Wasserman”
