He is survived by: his parents, Maylin S Mays of Plainfield, NJ and Marcus M Mays (Camelia Rose) of Dunellen, NJ; his brothers, Elijah J Charles and Noah K Charles of Plainfield, NJ; his grandparents, Joyce Lacey of Plainfield, NJ, Tazewell Lacey of Orange, NJ, Dorothy Mays and Lillien Mays of Dunellen, NJ; his aunts and uncles, Michael Lacey of Goldsboro, NC, Theodore Lacey (Kathy) of Charlotte, NC, Frederick Lacey of Saint Petersburg, FL, Anthony M. Mays (Chantae) of Stockbridge, GA, Joann Lacey-Santiago (Antonio) of Charlotte, NC and Monica "Boppy" Mays of Dunellen, NJ; and his cousin Dajon Lacey (Marriah) of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by other relatives, cousins, family and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home (155 South Ave, Fanwood, NJ 07023). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

Whether it was cash out of his pocket or buying groceries or donating the clothes literally off his back, if he saw a need he wanted to help in every way.
