She is survived by: her spouse John D. McArthur; her children, Kathy Pope (David) and John "Jack" McArthur (Nadine); and her grandchildren, Robert McArthur and Jessica McArthur.

Donations may be made in Irene's memory to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center, 575 Woodland Ave., Madison, NJ 07940.
