He was predeceased by: his son Brian Johnston; his brother Brian; and his brother-in-law Robert Rowbotham. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Johnston; his sons, Jed and Brendan; his grandchildren, Ava, Riley, Zach, Max, Kora and Colin; his siblings, Leah Johnston-Rowbotham, Robert, Michael, Regina and Mark Johnston; and his sisters-in-law, Patti and Patty Johnston.
