She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Lovett and Viola Lovett; and her sisters, Viola Barner (Charles), Joanne Harris (Scott) and Lorraine Edwards.
She is survived by: her close friend Daniel Gilmore of Millville; her children, John Slater Jr. of Lakeland Florida, Tony Slater of Millville, Angela Phillips of Bridgeton and Keysha Batie of Millville; her brother James Lovett (Lorraine) of Millville; and her close friend Nancy Brown of Seabrook. She is also survived by four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 10th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Barr Funeral Home (2104 E Main St, Millville, NJ 08332). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 10th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 10th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Fordville Cemetery.
