He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Stewart Ward and Charles "Charlie" Ward; and his brother Charles "Mickey" Ward Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Magalean Robinson; his children, Vernay "Bunnie" Ward Bryant of Maryland, Anthony, Darryl Ward of Paterson and Warren II; his granddaughters, Lakeshia Alexis Bryant of Maryland, Savannah Rose Ward and Brianne Lewis of Hamburg; and his siblings, Hubert Ward of Georgia and Emma Ward of Paterson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
