He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline; his children, Michael Messina (Noreen), Christopher Messina (Cathy), Michelle Holzmann (William) and Lisa Messina; his grandchildren, Vincent, Anthony (Larissa), Lynn (Nick), Nicholas, Juliette, Grace, Daniel, Timothy, Alyssa and Frank; and his sister Anne Schilp (Joseph).
