He was predeceased by: his father John A. Overmars; and his siblings, John J. Overmars, Susan Payne (Overmars) and KrisAnn Guy (Edward). He is survived by: his mother Muriel Overmars; and his nieces and nephews, Ashley, Anthony John, Joseph, Kevin, Tiffany, Anthony Joseph, Reilly, Eddie and Sean.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Michael's memory to Childrens Specialized Hospital, 150 New Providence Road, Mountainside, NJ 07092.
