The memory of Maureen F. Batalias of Fair Lawn, New Jersey, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on April 15, 2025 at the age of 82, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Nick Batalias; her son-in-law Wayne Casazza; and her sister Kathleen Nelson (John Hoc). She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Casazza, Thomas Batalias and Christine Opalka (Joseph); her brother Thomas Maher (Loretta); her grandchildren, Michelle, Wayne, Joseph, Michael, Marina, Caroline and Nikolas; and her great grandchildren, Valerie and Trenton. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Colonial Home (13-31 Saddle River Rd, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (22-15 Broadway, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410).
