He was predeceased by: his wife Rosa. He is survived by: his sons, Carmelo, Giuseppe, Robert (Sandra Maru) and Luciano Maru Jr. (Roseann); his sister Carmela Vella of Gela; his close friend Gina Brunini; and his grandchildren, Lila Rose, Landon Ennio, Elijah Aaron and KayleighRose Faith.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Colonial Home (13-31 Saddle River Rd, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Catherine's RC Church (905 Maple Ave, Glen Rock, NJ 07452). A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (58 McLean Blvd, Paterson, NJ 07513).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
