It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John H. Mehrtens of Fair Lawn, New Jersey, born in Hackensack, New Jersey, who passed away on April 29, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Thomas Mehrtens; his parents, John Mehrtens and Elsa Mehrtens; and his brother Eugene Mehrtens. He is survived by: his wife Maureen; his daughters, Rosemary Sinclair (Jac) of Northampton, MA and Ellen Kreil (Douglas) of West Caldwell; his grandchildren, John Kreil (Marie), Alaina Greco (Mike), Katherine Kreil, Eva Mehrtens and Robin Sinclair Weissman; and his great grandchildren, Easton and Gabriella.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary, 19620 Crown Ridge Road, Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670.
