Herman Brandes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herman Brandes of Fair Lawn, New Jersey, who passed away on July 13, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Harry Brandes; his significant other Betty; his brother Harry; and his wife Ida Jane. He is survived by: his children, Roy (Laurie), Ron (Sylvia), Randy (Sam) and Karen (Lou Spano); his grandchildren, Alexandra Brandes, Renee Kobovitch (Craig), Michael Spano (Dana), Louis Spano Jr., Kim Swallen (Drew), Anna Summers (Ryan), Jason Brandes, Justin Brandes, Chris Brandes, Brett Brandes (Joelle) and Adriana Brandes; his great grandchildren, Logan, Jace, Luke, Wesley, Nicholas, Finn and Calvin; and his brother John (Celine).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Herman's name to the Eastern Christian School Association, 50 Oakwood Avenue, North Haledon or the Christian Health Care Center, 301 Sicomac Avenue, Wyckoff.
