She was predeceased by: her significant other Frank H. Smith, Jr.; her parents, Thomas Layden and Mary Layden (Gorman); her brothers-in-law, Joseph Zarek and Preston Reise; and her son-in-law Kevin Valentine.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Smith Valentine, Robert and Rhonda Smith; her grandchildren, Steven Smith, Christina, Greg Kreha and Colleen Smith (Gage Nigro); her great grandchildren, Sloane Kreha and Franklynn Kreha; her sisters, Jeanmarie Zarek and Helen (Gilbert Davis); and her sister-in-law Carol Smith Reise.
