He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Van (Hoeffner); and his brother Edward Van Overloop. He is survived by: his daughter Ellen (Thomas Ziegler); his grandchildren, Sarah, Samuel, Andrew and David; and his girlfriend Carole Zimmerman.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Colonial Home (13-31 Saddle River Rd, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410). A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery (22-21 Maple Ave, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Van Riper Ellis Baptist Church (7-01 River Rd, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery (22-21 Maple Ave, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Van Riper Ellis Broadway Baptist Church (7-01 River Rd, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410).
