It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Elias Araya (Fair Lawn, New Jersey), who passed away on April 11, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ricardo Araya and Sonia Araya; and his siblings, Nicolas (Erika), Linda Araya Thaller (Dave) and Daniel.

You were my family and I would choose you to be my family every time. I was so blessed to have you in my life and I know you are resting now. Energy is never truly destroyed so in some way, you are still with us and I will always keep that fact and you close to my heart. I love and miss you David.”

“Dave was such a free spirit even in his moments of darkness and struggle. He cared deeply for his friends and family, always putting them first and before himself. He carried out his friendships as though each one was a beloved family member and would always make an effort to lighten the mood where he could. Few friends have been truer than David, and I speak for many when I say he will be missed. He will forever live on in our hearts and memories, and I’ll always remember him as a dear friend.”
