She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lillian Levenson and William Levenson; her husband Harry Nitzberg; her daughter Barbara Lawrence (Brad); her grandson Zachary; her daughter Ellen Cooper (Bruce); her grandson Daniel (Chelsea); her sisters, Arlene Katz and Joan Herman; and her caregiver Juliette Dunbar. She was also cherished by friends.
