He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Helen Rodzen Whitehead; his parents, Richard Kason Whitehead and Eleanor Cadwallader Whitehead; his sister Patricia Whitehead Stoner; his children, Devon, Holden of Midlothian and Virginia; his niece Mary Beth Willis; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Riley, Mary Catherine of Richmond and Virginia; his niece Helen O'Boyle (Lori); and also, Scott Stoner, Nancy Stoner, Madellyn, Jordan and Elizabeth of Ewing. He was also cherished by many loving family members and supportive friends.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Sam's name can be made to St. Jude's and Shriners Hospitals.
