He was predeceased by: his parents, Giuseppe Piazza and Maria Antonia Annaloro Piazza; his wife Rosalba Mendola Piazza; and his sister Carmelina Cumella. He is survived by: his sons, Joseph A. (Dawn Marie Piazza), Salvatore, Jr. (Lori Piazza), Danny (Nicole Piazza) and Marco A. Piazza (Jennifer Tessein); his sister Paola Iucolino; his grandchildren, Sammy Piazza (Klaudia), Carly O'Connell (Jeffrey), Angelina Piazza and Danny Piazza; his great grandchild Eloise Rose Piazza; and his caregiver Marina Zhorzholiani. He is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.
