He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Schwilk and Irma Schwilk. He is survived by: his friend Emil Wandishin; his wife Jane C. Schwilk; his children, Eric Schwilk, Heidi Nyemchek (Brian) and Gretchen Schwilk; his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Logan, Addison Nyemchek and Penelope Schwilk; and his brother Larry Schwilk (Karen) of Ephrata, Pennsylvania..
