It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ellen La Corte (Ewing Township, New Jersey), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 23, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Segal and Jeanne Segal. She is survived by: her husband Michael; her children, Chris, Nick, Roxie and Mags; her grandchildren, Amelia, Alan and Emily; and her brothers, Ivan and Michael. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

“Ellen was an extraordinary woman. Brilliant, funny, talented, passionate, determined, brave and kind. Though, she was my cousin, she was more of a sister to me. She was my mother’s other daughter. I’m sad. I’m so so sorry for such a profound loss. To Mike, the kids, kidlets and her brothers I’m praying for extreme comfort. Mike, you took such loving care of her. I’ll miss her text sign off: “Love, El” Love, Ran “The eternal God is your refuge,  and underneath are the everlasting arms.””

“My heart breaks for Ellen and her family. I remember climbing cherry and sickle pear trees as a child together, and her infectious laughter when I bit into a cherry with a worm in it. We had wonderful times sitting in the hammock in her home in Havertown. We hadn't seen each other in years, she will always be in my heart. She will be dearly missed.
