He is survived by: his wife Helen Gilbert; his children, Donald Gilbert, Natalie Hernandez and Michelle Hoffman; his grandchildren, Tara Ziegler, Rachel Hoffman, Xavier Hernandez, Samantha Hernandez and Sean Hernandez; and his great grandchildren, Samuel Ziegler and Benjamin Ziegler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
