He is survived by: his wife Patricia C (Smith); his children, Stacey C. Wagner (Vince) and Frederick D. McElfresh; his grandchildren, Julie M., Dylan F., David V. Jr. and Cheyanne R.; his great grandchild Daniel M.; and his sisters, Edna Silverson (Norman), Connie Shute and Melody Beard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
