It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ann McGovern of Emerson, New Jersey, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on October 24, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Kim Kleespie; and her parents, John Gaffney and Cecilia Gaffney. She is survived by: her husband Charles J. McGovern; her children, Daniel McGovern (Danielle), Kathleen Dallendorfer (Eric), Kerry Bascio (Ray), Kevin McGovern (Lori) and Megan Lennon (Russ); her brother Jack Gaffney (Ruth); her sister-in-law Betty Black; and her son-in-law Ken Kleespie. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
