He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Scaffa; his grandson David Scaffa; his parents, Anthony Scaffa and Anna Scaffa; and his sisters, Dorothy Gendreizig and Catherine Accorti.

He is survived by: his children, John Scaffa and Christine Purcell (Matt).
