He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Zee Jr. and Jean Richardson; and his stepmother Lois Rutledge Zee. He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginny"; his children, James W. Zee IV (Kerri), Daniel Zee (Desiree), Valari Beaver (Matt) and Scarlett Sarnelle (Joseph); his grandchildren, Ryli, Taylor and Joshua; and his siblings, John Zee, Jeannine Moore (Michael), Jerilynn Cornell and Jeff Rutledge (Andi). He is also survived by many other family members and close friends.

Viewing was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home (111 S Main St, Elmer, NJ 08318). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
