We are sad to announce that on January 27, 2025, at the age of 87, Joan Kratson of Elizabeth, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Joan had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Joan may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert J. Kratson Jr.; and her sons, Antone and Robert J. Kratson. She is survived by: her daughters, Bridget McGarry (Bobby) of Sioux City, Michelle Kratson Aly (Khaled) of Bayonne and Kerry Melvin of Elizabeth; her sister Antoinette Flynn of Rahway; and her caregiver Jonas Robles.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the August F. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home (139 Westfield Ave, Elizabeth, NJ 07208). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Saint Joseph the Carpenter R. C. Church (160 E 3rd Ave, Roselle, NJ 07203).
