He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmelo Munafo and Tindera Munafo (Braciforte); and his siblings, Anthony, Joseph, Salvatore and Melina Schaeffer.

He is survived by: his wife Christina Young; his son Matthew (Susan Bott) of Marblehead, MA; his siblings-in-law, John and Carol Young; and his grandsons, Robert Brett and Matthew Pierce Munafo.
