It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Olive Scola Smith of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, who passed away on December 26, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carmela Assunta and Sabato Antonio Scola; and her siblings, Rose, Caterina, Giselda (Gilda), Clarisa (Clarice), Violetta (Margarita), Matilda, Josefina, Aurora (Dolly), Elena, Dante, Silvio and Benito.

She is survived by: her husband John R. Smith, Jr.; her children, Danielle Orlando (Luis Ledesma) of Philadelphia, PA, Melanie Shaw (Gray Shaw) of Plymouth, MA and Glenn Smith (Sandra Matesic-Smith) of Essex Fells, NJ; her grandchildren, Jared Shaw, Ethan Shaw of Los Angeles, CA, Niko DeCristofaro and Isabel Smith of Essex Fells; and her brothers, Orlando Scola of Hammonton, NJ and Daniel William Scola of Coconut Creek, FL.. She is also survived by children, grandchildren, all wildlife, dogs and cats.

Given the current surge of COVID cases that exists, those who desire to attend must be symptom free and willing to abide by smart masking and distancing protocols.
