He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Willie Mae Bridgeforth and Adolf Seward; his wife Anna Mae of Atlantic City; his children, Adrienne Seward, Ruebena Shuib, Lee Andrew Seward, Jr. (Genelle), Joyce West, Gary Seward, David Seward (Irma), Kristen Gunter (Brian) and John Seward; and his sister-in-law Pauline. He was also cherished by 31 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.
