Kayla Kraus Obituary
Kayla Marie Kraus, 23, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 20, 2020. She was born November 9, 1997 in Somers Point, New Jersey. The daughter of Christopher Kraus and Samantha Swan. Kayla was a loving and compassionate person who loved to be silly. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul. She had the biggest heart.
The relationship she had with her little sister, Brooklyn Swan, was not like any other. Kayla was a wonderful big sister. When her sister would see her, her whole face would light up. Kayla loved to dance and performed recitals until she was 17. She enjoyed the outdoors, music, drawing, and anything that she could be creative with.
She was fiercely loyal to her friends and family. We will always remember her infectious smile, piercing blue eyes and caring personality. Kayla loved Jesus and loved to sing in church when she was able to go. Kayla was an energetic, outgoing, free-spirited soul that will never be forgotten. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Theodore Kraus (pop pop), grandparents Netta and Rueben Rickel, uncle Nick Costa and her cousin Billy Egan.
She leaves behind her parents, stepfather Robert Swan, sister Brooklyn Swan, stepsister Dominique Swan, grandmothers Anne Eble and Nancy Kraus-Thomas, uncle Richard Hammell, aunts Becky Egan, and Nancy Kraus, cousins Brittany Diehl and AJ and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Celebration of life will be at Monday, December 28, 2020 at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St, Mays Landing.
A pass through to pay respects will be from 11 AM – 12 Noon. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, at 1 PM, at Zion Cemetery, 669 Zion Rd, Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
