He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Channell and Margaret Channell (Eckert). He is survived by: his children, Ryan Champion and Dana Champion; his grandchildren, Ryan Champion, Jr., Cody DeGrassi and Jacob DeGrassi; and his sister Janice Eckles. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
