He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Franz X. Weigl and Frieda Weigl (Stark); his son Brett; his daughter-in-law Rachel; his grandson Julian of Walnut Creek, CA; his sister Maryann; and his nieces, Susan and Karen of Farmingdale, NY.
In Franz's memory, the family welcomes donations to the American Cancer Society and the United States Naval Shipbuilding Museum in Quincy, MA, where the U.S.S. Salem is docked.
