He was predeceased by: his parents, Luis "Papito" Builes and Margarita "Mamita" Ruiz; and his siblings, Luis Maria, Emilia, Carmen, Gabriel, Oliva, Luz Mila, Miguel, Teresa, Celina, Dario, Sara and Reynaldo.
He is survived by: his wife Hermilia "Maria"; his children, Johnny "Pancho" Builes and Johanna "Kiki" Builes; his daughter-in-law Jennifer "Jenny" Builes; and his sister-in-law Laura (Hernan). He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
In 1980, Mami and Papi got married and remained in love for 40 years, where they built an incredible foundation with their two kids Johnny and Johanna.
