It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Ann Semler of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on July 2, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Richard Portas and Faye Lawson; her husband Brian Semler; her children, Kacey Semler, Kevin Semler and Erin James; her siblings, Susan Maydan, Cathy Foley, Lynn Portas, Deborah Maira, Richard and Robert Portas; and her stepparents, Anita Portas and Markey Lawson. She was also cherished by her parents, siblings, in-laws, and her many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mrs. Semler's honor to Memorial Sloan Kettering for Ovarian Cancer Research (https://giving.mskcc.org) or to The Daughters of Divine Charity at St. Joseph Hill Academy, 850 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, N.Y., 10305.
