She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Place; and her brothers, Leroy Cooper (late Georgia), Harlan Cooper (Nancy) and Frank Cooper (late Reba). She is survived by: her children, Dr. Steven Ray (Sandra), David Ray (Barbara), Joyce Ray, Daryl Ray (Peg), Ronald Hickman (Debbie) and Gary Hickman (Doris); and her siblings, Janis Clay (late Grover) and Butch Cooper (Louise). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
